The KEEP

(KY Equine Education Project is an organization that was established to help keep the equine money into our State. The organization has established a grassroots program to fund local horse shows and equine events. The LaRue County Saddle Club received a $250 grant from the organization to help pay for the year end awards in 2005. We can apply for up to $500 to be used for equine events throughout the 2006 year. The application considers the number of Saddle Club members that are KEEP members also. At present, we have approximately 10 club members that are KEEP members. We need to increase that number.

We are enclosing a KEEP application. Please join KEEP. You can mail the $10 membership to KEEP or mail it to Melissa Metcalf 1018 Jericho Road Hodgenville, KY 42748. After KEEP memberships have been increased from the club. The saddle club can once again apply for funding.

The KEEP program is working on many projects that will help the equine industry. You can call Melissa Metcalf 325-2555, if you have further questions
